About the role#
The School of Wildlife Conservation at The African Leadership University is researching the scale and potential of the wildlife economy across Africa. This project involves creating country case studies that examine current status, potential, and regulatory frameworks. We are looking for a part-time intern to join this effort.
What you'll do#
- Collect, collate, and analyze data from various African countries, databases, and literature.
- Report on findings to support the development of country case studies.
- Create content for social media products based on your research.
- Develop your skills in data collection, reporting, and presenting.
- Gain a deeper understanding of the wildlife economy and related data gaps.
What you'll need#
- Prior knowledge and experience in conservation.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Excel.
- Skills in data analysis, cleaning, and visualization.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage your time well.
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
- Reading and writing proficiency in French or Portuguese is an advantage.
Location & details#
- This role is remote.
- The position is part-time at 20 hours per week.
- We accept applications on a rolling basis.
- This is a paid internship.
