About the role#
The For-Credit Merchandising Intern will assist the Director of Business Development at Genesis Hospitality. You will focus on project-based work involving the design, development, and management of retail products. This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Help conceptualize, brand, and merchandise a new line of retail products for our bakery.
- Research market and competitor pricing to inform our marketing and pricing strategies.
- Track product inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to analyze sales and inventory reports.
- Create and update training manuals for bakery staff regarding product details.
- Coordinate with the Marketing department on branding, advertising, and retail layout planning.
- Participate in meetings with international vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college.
- Pursuing a major in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field that allows for academic credit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
- Professional demeanor in person and over the phone.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Chinese language skills are considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Hamilton Township, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site position requiring daily attendance at the office.
