About the role#
This student worker position at the Colloquium Cafe involves food preparation, service, and maintaining a clean environment. You will assist with daily operations, follow safety protocols, and interact with guests on campus.
What you'll do#
- Build and prepare food items following standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize work areas after service.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Replenish food items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
- Store food according to established safety standards.
- Adhere to safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.
