About the role#
This is a student worker position focused on food service or catering operations at the University of North Georgia in Oakwood. You will gain experience in food preparation, safety standards, and customer service while working as part of our team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly to meet safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers, anticipate their needs, and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked at appropriate levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and co-workers.
- Adhere to safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.

- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time student position with a rolling term.
