About the role#
The Catering Services Student Worker supports event operations by assisting with the setup, delivery, and cleanup of catering orders. This role involves serving guests and maintaining service areas to ensure successful event execution.
What you'll do#
- Set up catering and event services, including tables, chairs, and buffet lines, according to client requests.
- Transport food, beverages, and necessary equipment to event locations.
- Replenish food and beverage products during events.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of food service areas throughout the event.
- Break down and clean up areas after events, returning equipment to storage.
- Provide customer service to all guests.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must follow the assigned dress code and wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment.
- Ability to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training.
- Previous customer service or catering experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
