    About the role#

    This summer internship provides hands-on experience in construction management within the Eastern District. You will support heavy civil projects, including transportation, rail, power, and water infrastructure. The role focuses on developing technical skills through active participation in field operations and office engineering tasks.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform engineering tasks using standard techniques to resolve technical issues.
    • Manage project documentation, including job progress, costs, and material usage records.
    • Assist with operation planning, project scheduling, and cost control.
    • Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements and quantities.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to manage material procurement and delivery.
    • Supervise field activities and investigate reported incidents to recommend solutions.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
    • Ability to work full-time during the summer, typically from May through August.
    • Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.
    • Ability to access all areas of a construction site across various climates and environments.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
    • Commitment to safety, ethics, and integrity.
    • Effective communication skills for interacting with supervisors and team members.

    • Location: Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey (with potential for travel and relocation based on business needs).
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Status: Full-time, paid internship.
