About the role#
This student worker position at UMass Lowell supports food service and catering operations at Einstein's. You will assist with daily kitchen tasks, customer service, and maintaining a clean work environment. This role is open to students across various fields, including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, and Business Administration.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food items according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenish food stock to maintain appropriate levels.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies.
- Secure company assets during your shift.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Current food safety certification or the willingness to acquire one.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
