Case Student General Utility Worker - EKU - Fresh Food Company

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid student position for Summer 2026 located at Eastern Kentucky University. This role is designed for students across various disciplines, including Civil, Biomedical, and Environmental Engineering, as well as Nursing, who are interested in gaining experience in food service operations.

What you'll do#

• Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
• Store food products correctly according to established safety standards.
• Set up, clean, and sanitize workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
• Serve customers while maintaining high service standards and anticipating guest needs.
• Replenish food inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels.
• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and ensure the security of company assets.

What you'll need#

• Demonstrated guest service skills.
• Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
• Previous food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
• Willingness to wear a uniform and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
