About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations on campus. You will assist with food preparation, maintain safety standards, and interact with guests. This role is open to students across various majors, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, and Nutrition.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up workstations, such as prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Store food properly according to established standards.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food supplies and keep products stocked at appropriate levels.
- Follow all safety policies, including sanitation procedures and security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment as required.
