About the role#
This position provides food service and catering support at LA Tech. It is a paid, full-time opportunity for the Summer 2026 term. Students from majors including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, Public Health, and Kinesiology are welcome to apply.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food items according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Keep food items replenished and stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor while interacting with guests and co-workers.
- Adhere to company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
