About the role#
The Hotel Operations Intern gains hands-on experience by rotating through key departments at the hotel. You will work alongside department leaders to learn daily procedures, service standards, and staffing models. This role provides insight into how different areas contribute to guest experience, associate engagement, and financial performance.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured rotation through departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage.
- Assist with front desk tasks such as guest check-in, check-out, service recovery, and fulfilling guest requests.
- Support Housekeeping leadership with room inspections, tracking room readiness, and managing inventory.
- Help Food & Beverage teams with operations in restaurants, banquets, bars, or events.
- Work on special projects focused on guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
- Attend operational meetings, standups, and leadership check-ins.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in hospitality, business, tourism, culinary, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A flexible schedule that allows for working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a guest-facing environment and move throughout the property for extended periods.
- Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, customer service, retail, or campus leadership is a plus.
