About the role#
This is a student worker position based at Mississippi State University. You will work on-site in a food service and catering capacity. This role is paid and open to students from various fields including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Sociology, and Health Administration.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes and instructions.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Clean and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and maintain stock levels.
- Follow company safety policies and protect company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- You must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or personal protective equipment if required.
