About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for students interested in food service and catering operations. You will support our team at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas. This role is on-site and open to students across various fields of study including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, and Public Health.
What you'll do#
- Build and prepare food items based on standardized recipes.
- Store food products correctly to meet safety standards.
- Serve customers and ensure they are satisfied with their experience.
- Keep food stations stocked and replenished throughout your shift.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous experience in food service is helpful but not required.
- Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
