About the role#
The Student Worker - Functional position involves maintaining cleanliness and order within assigned areas to ensure client satisfaction. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and regular reporting of maintenance needs to support the facility.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet company and client standards.
- Follow established procedures to provide a safe working environment.
- Report maintenance concerns by submitting work order requests.
- Manage the storage and disposal of trash according to site procedures.
- Secure the facility by ensuring doors are locked or unlocked as required.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment in proper working order.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs.
- Capacity for extended periods of walking and standing, as well as bending.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures regarding hazardous chemicals and physical risks.
- Ability to wear required uniforms or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Public Health, or Human Resources.
