About the role#
As a Main POD Student Worker, you will support campus dining operations by preparing food, maintaining workstations, and providing service to guests. This is a paid, on-site, full-time position with a rolling term. We welcome students from various academic backgrounds, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Chemistry, and Nutrition.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations such as prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Store food properly according to established standards.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated guest service skills.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands, which may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to use uniforms or Personal Protective Equipment as required.
