About the role#
This internship focuses on controlling production demands and directing material requirements. You will help ensure a steady flow of raw materials and finished goods to meet production schedules. The role involves converting engineering drawings into work instructions and bills of material to support procurement, fabrication, and assembly.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet delivery schedules.
- Use the Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to track material availability, kit readiness, and shop order records.
- Update and maintain lead times for make items within the MRP system.
- Manage floor stock of program components.
- Provide hardware status updates and performance statistics to the program team.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedules and resolve issues.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Experience or knowledge in scheduling or supply chain planning.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Waco, Texas.
- The role is on-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
