About the role#
This position is for a student worker within the catering department at Bloomsburg University. You will assist with food preparation, service, and station maintenance. This is a paid, full-time role for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Build food items using standardized recipes and instructions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Serve food to customers and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Store food items properly to meet safety standards.
- Clean and sanitize workstations after use.
- Replenish food stock to ensure levels remain appropriate.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- This role is open to students in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Psychology.
