About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for students interested in retail store management. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience by leading teams and learning daily store operations. The program is designed to build leadership skills and provide exposure to how strategic decisions influence store performance and customer satisfaction.
What you'll do#
- Lead a retail team and engage directly with customers.
- Learn day-to-day operations, including merchandise handling, inventory management, and stocking.
- Develop leadership skills and learn retail management best practices alongside store managers.
- Complete a business-focused project that addresses a real business opportunity and present your findings to leadership.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration.
- Expected graduation date between May 2027 and May 2028.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Availability to work 35 hours per week for the full 10-week program.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in retail store management.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site role.
- Locations include Evansville, Indiana and Bloomington, Indiana.
- The term for this internship is Summer 2027.
