About the role#
This student worker position at the Qdoba location on the University of South Carolina campus involves supporting food service operations. Students will gain experience in food preparation, kitchen maintenance, and customer service while working within a team environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to established safety and quality standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining a positive demeanor and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food inventory and keep service areas stocked.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies, including food safety regulations.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student, with a preference for majors in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Nursing.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to obtain or possess a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or required personal protective equipment.
