About the role#
This student worker position at Qdoba on the University of South Carolina campus involves daily food service operations. The role is designed for students to gain experience in food preparation, safety standards, and customer service.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to established safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenish food items to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or required personal protective equipment.
