About the role#
The Student Worker Lead oversees daily food operations at Florida State University. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining efficient service standards for catering events. You will work on-site during the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Create and manage work schedules for the team.
- Supervise and train food service workers while supporting their professional growth.
- Keep inventory records on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all food storage areas remain organized, safe, and hazard-free.
- Monitor food production to meet quality and safety standards.
- Oversee catering event preparation and delivery timing.
- Perform equipment maintenance checks and recommend replacements when necessary.
- Fill in for absent staff and assist with cashier duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle interpersonal situations.
- Knowledge of how to run a cost-effective program.
- Completion of a sanitation course before or during your first year.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and multi-tasking.
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
- Must be a student at the Aramark location.
