About the role#
The System Finance Team provides financial management and oversight across the organization. This internship offers exposure to various financial areas, including General Accounting, Revenue Cycle Services, Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis, and Internal Audit. You will be assigned to a specific team and project, allowing you to gain practical experience while collaborating with leadership and team members.
What you'll do#
- Analyze data for interpretation, reporting, and modeling.
- Manage projects focused on financial operations process improvement.
- Monitor and process general ledger, payroll, and patient activities.
- Interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
- Participate in team meetings and report on assigned projects.
- Conduct independent risk assessments and apply internal control frameworks.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Perform audit procedures and document findings.
- Communicate results of audit and consulting engagements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student.
- Preferred graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Academic background in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
Location & details#
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May through August).
- Format: Full-time, on-site, 40 hours per week.
- This is a paid internship.
