About the role#
This is a paid, part-time student worker position for Summer 2026. The role focuses on food preparation, service, and catering operations. It is an on-site position based in West Hartford, Connecticut. This opportunity is open to students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Nutrition.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food items properly according to safety standards.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Adhere to company safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and co-workers.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
