About the role#
This is a full-time, paid student position for Summer 2026. You will work on-site at Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is open to students majoring in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or Nutrition.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly in accordance with safety standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables and service counters, and clean or sanitize them after use.
- Serve food to customers and ensure products are stocked to appropriate levels.
- Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor toward guests, clients, and coworkers.
- Adhere to company safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to acquire food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
