About the role#
This is a paid, on-site student worker position at the University of South Carolina for the Summer 2026 term. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, Public Health, or Agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items using standardized recipes.
- Manage food storage according to established safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including service counters and prep tables.
- Serve food to customers while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and ensure proper stock levels.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment.
