About the role#
The Housekeeping Intern works alongside the Housekeeping Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure product quality standards, and maintain service excellence. This role involves a mix of administrative supervision, staff training, and hands-on cleaning duties to ensure all guest suites and public areas meet brand requirements.
What you'll do#
- Inspect assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.
- Assist in training employees and providing instruction on corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
- Partner with the Housekeeping Manager to inventory and maintain par levels for linen and room supplies.
- Monitor commercial laundry equipment and supplies to ensure they remain in working order.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning guest suites and public spaces, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all operations remain in compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety laws.
- Manage lost and found procedures and coordinate daily tasks across shifts.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of housekeeping experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and move about the facility, including lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Pursuing studies in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Operations Management.
