About the role#
The Sales Event Intern assists the group sales team with event planning and execution. This role provides hands-on experience by acting as a liaison for groups and helping with on-site events. You will work in an office setting and at Hersheypark to support various group sales functions.
What you'll do#
- Support the Events Manager with planning and executing group sales events.
- Participate in on-site group sales events.
- Answer telephones, field questions, and process event details.
- Provide information to customers about Hersheypark and the Hershey destination.
- Process group orders for call center support.
- Perform office tasks like printing signage, merging contracts, and managing spreadsheets.
- Welcome clients to the picnic area at Hersheypark and collect admission tickets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or MBA student.
- Major in Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Location & details#
- Location: Hershey, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Winter 2027 (February 15, 2027 to May 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday during business hours with flexibility for your spring semester. You must be available to work 1-2 weekends a month in April and May, including some evenings and holidays.
- Working conditions: You must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
