About the role#
This student worker position supports food service and catering operations on campus. It is a paid, on-site role with a rolling term. We welcome students from various academic backgrounds, including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, and Agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and replenish items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful service to guests and co-workers.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies and ensure the security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment as required.
