About the role#
This position offers students the opportunity to gain experience in food service operations while working on campus. You will support the daily functions of a Starbucks location, focusing on food preparation, safety standards, and customer interaction.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Store food products in accordance with safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate guest needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Replenish and stock food items to appropriate levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and coworkers.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Must possess or be willing to acquire food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands, which may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms or personal protective equipment.
- This role is open to students across various majors, including Business Administration, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, and Criminal Justice.
