About the role#
Messiah University is hiring students to support catering operations during the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role. You will earn $11.00 per hour and receive a free meal during every shift.
What you'll do#
- Manage all stages of catered events, including initial set up, food service, event breakdown, and final clean up.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Meet quality, safety, and sanitation standards for all food and presentation.
- Transport food and supplies to various campus locations.
- Maintain your workspace and equipment.
- Assist coworkers to ensure events run on time.
- Maintain reliable attendance for all scheduled shifts.
What you'll need#
- A positive attitude and the ability to multitask.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a self-starter.
- Capability to lift items and stand on your feet for extended periods.
- No prior experience is required, though foodservice experience is helpful.
- A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to follow dress code requirements, including wearing a provided apron and maintaining a professional appearance with closed-toe shoes.
