About the role#
This position provides administrative and research support to faculty members and the department Administrative Assistant. It is a part-time, on-site role based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The position pays $8.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
You will manage course documents, including syllabi, assignments, and grades. You will also maintain attendance spreadsheets and assist with library or internet research. Daily tasks include scanning, photocopying, and creating or updating PowerPoint presentations. You may also design fliers, bulletin board posters, and newsletters. Additional duties include updating website information, assisting with department events like Open Houses, and brainstorming future projects.
What you'll need#
You should be a student majoring in Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Sociology. You need basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Outlook, and Canvas. Proficiency with internet research is required. We look for individuals who are self-motivated, organized, creative, and dependable. Strong problem-solving skills are helpful.
