About the role#
Student Career Coaches are student employees who help their peers with career exploration and planning. You will work within the Career and Professional Development Center to guide students through their professional development journey.
What you'll do#
- Advise students on choosing a major, exploring career options, finding internships, and planning for graduate school.
- Help peers prepare resumes and cover letters, search for jobs, and build professional networks.
- Create personalized action plans based on individual student needs and interests.
- Market career services and events using campus advertising, information sessions, and social media.
- Act as a liaison to employers during career events.
- Serve as a champion for career services and coordinate engagement initiatives to raise awareness.
- Complete additional career-related projects and tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must maintain full-time student status.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to present information to groups.
- Creative problem-solving skills and an interest in helping peers.
- Ability to work well in a team and interact with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
- Customer service experience is preferred.

- Location: Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $8.50 per hour.
- Term: 2026-27 Academic Year, rolling.
- Dress Code: Business Casual.
