About the role#
This is a paid, on-site Student Worker position at the University of Scranton. The role involves maintaining a clean and orderly environment to meet customer and client standards. You will help ensure the facility remains secure and that company assets are protected.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet quality standards.
- Follow procedures for the storage and disposal of trash.
- Transport waste to designated areas.
- Report maintenance issues by submitting work order requests.
- Secure the facility by locking and unlocking buildings as needed.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and follow safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull more than 50 lbs.
- Capability to handle physical demands such as bending, extended walking, and standing.
- Ability to follow basic safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
- Willingness to wear a uniform if necessary.
- Current enrollment as a student, with a preference for majors in Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Public Health.
