About the role#
This position offers an opportunity for students to gain experience in food service and catering operations. The role involves supporting daily kitchen and service tasks while developing customer service and professional skills. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling application window.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Properly store food according to established safety standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers, ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and coworkers.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, and Psychology.

- Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
