About the role#
This student worker position involves supporting food service and catering operations on campus. You will assist in food preparation, maintain safety standards, and provide service to guests. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including nutrition, engineering, human resources, business, and psychology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, and steam tables.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction by anticipating their needs.
- Properly store food according to established standards.
- Replenish food items and ensure products are stocked at appropriate levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and adhere to all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
