About the role#
This position is based at Hicks Dining Hall at Coastal Carolina University. It is an on-site, paid student worker role with rolling start dates. We welcome students from majors including Business Administration, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, and Psychology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly to meet safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests and co-workers.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
