About the role#
This position is for a Student Worker in food service or catering at Mount St. Mary's University. You will assist with daily operations, food preparation, and customer service. This is a paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Serve food while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Stock and replenish food items as needed.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and co-workers.
- Follow safety policies, including food safety and sanitation standards.
- Keep company assets secure.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment.

- Location: Emmitsburg, Maryland.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
- Majors: Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Nursing students are welcome to apply.
