About the role#
As a Strategic Engagements & Events Intern, you will help turn business moments into experiences for the people who move our mission forward. You will work alongside the Strategic Engagement & Events team from the earliest stages of an opportunity, researching audiences and markets, developing engagement recommendations, and building project plans. You will collaborate with teams across the company to gain experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, project management, and event production.
What you'll do#
- Research markets, stakeholders, and opportunities to understand who we should engage and how it connects to our business priorities.
- Help develop engagement strategies and briefing materials, including stakeholder profiles, experience concepts, agendas, and talking points.
- Support the planning and execution of strategic engagements such as VIP visits, technology demonstrations, partner events, market launches, and community activations.
- Build and maintain project plans and workbacks to coordinate timelines, guest lists, logistics, and production needs.
- Partner with teams across Zipline, including Government Affairs and Communications, to gather information and keep projects moving.
- Support onsite execution to create well-run experiences for guests and solve problems as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or recently graduated. We accept applicants from majors including Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Health, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Journalism.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn research into clear, concise written materials.
- Highly organized approach to keeping track of details, deadlines, and moving pieces.
- Curious and analytical mindset with an interest in learning about new audiences and business problems.
- Comfortable taking initiative and working through ambiguity.

- This is a full-time, on-site role based in South San Francisco, California.
- The internship term is Winter 2027.
- This position is paid.
