About the role#
Zipline is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our Finance and Accounting team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on hands-on accounting tasks that keep our global operations running. This role offers the chance to learn the building blocks of corporate accounting while supporting our financial operations and month-end close processes.
What you'll do#
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial closes by compiling data, running reports, and preparing schedules.
- Learn our internal finance systems through data entry, analysis, and cleanup projects.
- Partner with operations and manufacturing teams on fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking, capitalization, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to track transactions and improve processes.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets.
- A desire to apply academic knowledge to real-world work.
- Interest in Zipline's mission and how finance supports global operations.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in South San Francisco, California.
- The internship term runs from January to April 2027.
- This position is paid at a rate of $34 per hour.
- Zipline is unable to provide work visa sponsorship for this role.
