About the role#
The Student Dietetic Intern role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment at the University of Delaware. This position focuses on facility upkeep and adherence to safety protocols to ensure a high standard of service.
What you'll do#
- Follow established procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with relevant regulations.
- Clean and maintain assigned areas according to company and client standards.
- Manage the storage and disposal of trash by transporting materials to designated areas.
- Report maintenance issues by submitting work order requests to the appropriate personnel.
- Secure the facility by ensuring buildings are locked or unlocked as required.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and protect company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items greater than 50 lbs.
- Capability to handle physical demands such as bending, extended walking, and standing.
- Ability to follow safety procedures regarding physical risks and the handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Enrollment in Nutrition, Public Health, or Health Administration programs.
