About the role#
The Student Food Service Worker position supports residential and retail dining operations. This role focuses on food preparation, station maintenance, and customer service. We are looking for students in Civil Engineering, Health Administration, or Nutrition who can work on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Cook and prepare food items following specific recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including sanitizing equipment and utensils.
- Follow proper food handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Greet customers, provide friendly service, and answer questions about menu items.
- Complete production and waste logs daily.
- Assist with station setup and breakdown.
- Transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
What you'll need#
- Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
- Capacity to lift up to 25 lbs and frequently push, pull, or carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 6 hours.
- Comfort working with heated equipment, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or Personal Protective Equipment as required.
