About the role#
The Student Worker Barista position at UMass Lowell Starbucks North involves crafting beverages and providing service to customers. You will manage transactions and maintain a clean environment while following brand standards.
What you'll do#
- Operate the register and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Greet customers and assist with their needs.
- Prepare coffees, teas, and specialty beverages according to brand recipes.
- Count and balance the cash drawer, fill out cashier slips, and make deposits.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area by sanitizing stations and stocking coolers.
What you'll need#
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Capability to work independently.
- Previous customer service or cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to complete Food Handling Certification as required.
