About the role#
This position is for a Student Worker in Food Service or Catering at Kutztown University. It is a paid, full-time role scheduled for the Summer 2026 term. We are open to students from various academic backgrounds, including Nutrition, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Psychology, and Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food correctly to meet safety standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations like prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and keep service areas stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful service to guests and co-workers.
- Follow company safety policies and ensure the security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- You must hold or acquire a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- The ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
