About the role#
This student worker position at Freshens on the Purdue campus involves daily food preparation and service. You will work within our retail dining operations to support team goals and ensure guests receive quality service. This is a paid, on-site role with rolling terms.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food products according to company standards.
- Set up, break down, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food while ensuring guest satisfaction and stocking products as needed.
- Maintain a positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment.
