About the role#
This position offers an opportunity to work in food service or catering operations on campus. It is a paid, on-site role with a rolling term, suitable for students in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, or Kinesiology. The position involves preparing food, maintaining safety standards, and engaging with customers.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly in accordance with established standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations including prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers, replenish items, and maintain stock levels.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or possess a food safety certification.
- Demonstrated guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use personal protective equipment as required.
