About the role#
This is a student worker position within food service or catering at the IUP-Hub. You will assist with food preparation, maintain safety standards, and interact with customers. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, and Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, and steam tables.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize work areas.
- Serve customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Adhere to safety policies and protect company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- You must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment if required.
