About the role#
This student worker position involves supporting food service and catering operations on campus. You will assist with food preparation, maintain sanitation standards, and provide service to guests. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, and Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items following standardized recipes.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations such as prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs.
- Replenish food items and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Store food properly in accordance with safety standards.
- Adhere to company safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills and a positive demeanor.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
