About the role#
The Student Worker - General Utility Worker role at Aramark supports kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. This position is open to students pursuing degrees in Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Human Resources, Nutrition, or Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Clean and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and kitchen utensils to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Keep the dishwashing station, three compartment sink, and surrounding areas clean.
- Monitor equipment to ensure it is in working condition and report any issues to management.
- Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as assigned.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a positive attitude toward guests, clients, and coworkers.
- Adhere to safety policies, including proper food safety procedures and the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
- Ability to follow safety protocols regarding the use of hazardous chemicals.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
