About the role#
The Student Marketing intern supports campus dining operations by promoting programs, events, and menu features. This role focuses on increasing awareness of dining services through social media content, promotional materials, and direct student engagement. You will work closely with dining managers and culinary teams to ensure accurate communication and a positive dining experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of campus dining events, pop-ups, and theme meals.
- Create, capture, and organize photo and video content for social media and promotional use.
- Draft social media captions, promotional copy, and announcements.
- Support the development and distribution of marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital signage.
- Engage with students to gather feedback, answer questions, and promote upcoming events.
- Assist with customer feedback initiatives, including surveys and comment collection.
- Conduct signage audits to ensure dining information is accurate and professionally displayed.
- Maintain event calendars, marketing schedules, and content trackers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be organized, reliable, punctual, and manage tasks independently.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to follow directions.
- Comfort engaging with students, staff, and campus partners in a professional manner.
- Preferred experience in photography, video, social media, Canva, or Microsoft Office.
- Interest in marketing, communications, hospitality, event planning, or student engagement.
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift light marketing materials or event supplies as needed.
