About the role#
The Student Marketing intern supports campus dining services by promoting programs, events, menu features, and student engagement initiatives. This role involves developing social media content, creating promotional materials, and gathering customer feedback to enhance the dining experience across residential and retail locations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of campus dining events, pop-ups, and theme meals.
- Create, capture, and organize photo and video content for dining promotions and social media.
- Draft social media captions, promotional copy, and announcements in a professional tone.
- Support the development and distribution of marketing materials such as flyers, digital signage, and table tents.
- Engage with students to gather feedback, answer dining questions, and promote upcoming programs.
- Conduct signage audits to ensure information is accurate and professionally displayed.
- Collaborate with dining, culinary, and catering teams to track menus, specials, and service updates.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of marketing displays and promotional tables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be organized, reliable, punctual, and manage tasks independently.
- Detail-oriented approach with the ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Comfort engaging with students, staff, and campus partners in a professional manner.
- Preferred: Basic experience with photography, video, social media, Canva, or Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: Interest in marketing, communications, hospitality, event planning, or student engagement.
- Ability to walk and stand during events and lift or carry light marketing materials and signage.
