About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern position for Summer 2026. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, assist with sales and profit goals, and ensure a high standard of customer service and safety within the department.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense correct medications and bag filled prescriptions for accurate delivery to customers.
- Facilitate communication with prescribers for authorizations and insurance companies regarding claims.
- Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions for new fills and refills.
- Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain department cleanliness, stock incoming orders, and manage medication inventory.
- Address customer needs and resolve issues with professionalism, integrity, and respect.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
- Capacity to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
