PHARMACY/PHARMCST-INTERN

About the role#

This is a paid, full-time pharmacy internship at Kroger. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacist and ensuring accurate medication delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.

What you'll do#

• Create an outstanding customer experience by providing exceptional service and answering questions about products.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense correct medications and facilitate the accurate delivery of filled prescriptions.
• Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Manage administrative tasks including processing third-party insurance, contacting prescribers for authorization, and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized department environment.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• A valid, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to remain professional and nonconfrontational.
• Ability to perform all essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Commitment to maintaining honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information.
