About the role#
The Kroger Transportation Center Summer Internship is a 12-week, full-time program. It provides students with hands-on experience and exposure to senior leadership. You will work on projects, refine your professional skills, and collaborate with teams across the organization. The program runs from May 17th to August 6th, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage multiple supply chain projects while meeting deadlines.
- Conduct supply chain analysis and document best practices.
- Partner with teams to deliver supply chain solutions.
- Assist in creating process improvement projects and recommend new opportunities.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate unresolved issues.
- Communicate project status and risks to relevant teams.
- Complete a final cumulative project and present your findings to management or the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Transportation, Retail Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or Operations Management.
- Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and in group settings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to various organizational levels.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to customer service and a team-oriented mindset.
