About the role#
This is a 12-week internship program running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to gain hands-on experience. The role requires you to support capital projects and participate in department meetings. You will also complete a cumulative project to present to the executive team at the end of your term.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with daily tasks and essential job functions.
- Support the contractor bid process and equipment order execution.
- Track equipment orders and manage delivery schedules to align with construction timelines.
- Coordinate reviews of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration plans with technical staff.
- Inspect capital projects to ensure they meet quality control and design specifications.
- Manage the completion of minor capital projects and prepare necessary estimates.
- Help with project closeout tasks like punch lists, final invoicing, and filing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0.
- Prior experience working in a construction environment.
- Strong motivation to take initiative on your own work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in group settings.
- Clear communication skills and attention to detail.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
