About the role#
This is a 12-week internship running from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to gain experience in retail facility engineering. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with daily job functions and capital project execution.
- Inspect projects to ensure they meet specifications and quality control standards.
- Help manage the contractor bid process and equipment orders.
- Track deliveries to align with construction schedules.
- Support the management of store fixture installations.
- Coordinate reviews of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical plans.
- Assist with project closeout tasks including punch lists and final invoicing.
- Participate in team meetings and huddles.
- Complete a cumulative project to present to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering, or Architecture.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0.
- Strong motivation and the ability to take initiative on your own work.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Work authorization that does not require sponsorship.
